The Spec Wedge Welders were designed using the existing technology of our successful line of Triad Wedge Welders. The Spec line is a line made up of single function welders to perform Overlap welds, Hem Cord welds, Flat Hem welds, Acrylic welding, Thick Material or High-speed welds. This allows the customer to dedicate a Spec Welder for a specific welding function without changing out attachments at an affordable price.
The Spec maintains a noiseless and smokeless operation, a patented Self-centering Wedge and a new Swing-out Wedge feature for easy cleaning, inspection and service. The Spec welders also utilize our same unique self-guiding Track System for hands-free welding. Our exclusive guide systems for the Spec Welders are back and forth and right and left. In addition, the Spec offers right and left hand feed units (mirror image) for simultaneous welding or hemming of sheets, flags, banners, etc. There are no other automatic welders in the world that offer the versatility that the Spec Wedge Welders offer. All welders are available in 110V or 220V.
Spec Overlap Welding
What is a Wedge? The Wedge is a solid piece of Aluminum shaped like a Wedge with two or more Cartridge Heaters inserted into it as the heat source. The Hot Wedge thermo bonds your material by contact. The material makes contact on the top and bottom of the wedge, heating the material, then enters directly into the pressure rollers to produce your bond.

Spec Overlap Welder
The Spec Overlap Welders are ideal for dedicated overlap welding of the many thermo-bonding materials available on the market today. Our new design allows for increased visibility of the welding area, variable speed and heat control, exclusive wedge swing-out feature, 6-way fully adjustable guide system for overlap welds and a full range of wedge sizes available from 3/8" (9mm) to 2" (50mm). As 220V unit, Thick Material wedge and guide system can be applied.
Spec Overlap AcrylicWelder
The Spec Overlap Acrylic Welder allows for overlap welding of acrylic products as well as other non-thermoplastic materials. By using our exclusive Thermal Bonding Tape, the fabricator can produce flatter seams, waterproof seams and can weld standard acrylic as well as most fire-resistant acrylics.

Spec Hemming Welder
The Spec Hemming Welder is designed to complete the three basic hem finish style welds from a single machine. The special guide system can be adjusted to weld the flat hem, hem cord, and various size pocket welds. This welder is perfect for banners, billboards, awnings, covers, tarpaulins, etc. The guide is the complete length of the machine for easy loading and consistent alignment. A mirror image Spec Hemming Welder is available for side by side welding and reduced production time.
Spec Hemming Acrylic Welder
The Spec Hemming Acrylic Tape Welder is equipped with a guiding system to turn and feed the Thermal Bonding Tape in position for welding acrylic coated fabrics. The welding style of flat hem, hem cord and pockets can be completed. The welding of acrylic coated fabrics provides a flat, waterproof, and strong finish.

Spec High Speed Welder
Our latest innovation, the Spec High Speed Welder can increase your production time dramatically. As an overlap style welder and only available in 230V, the preheat system can provide the necessary melting of thermoplastics at speeds approaching 70 feet per minute. Choose from either a 1000W wedge with a 2 roller preheat for light to medium materials or a 1500W wedge with a 4 roller preheat for medium to heavier materials. Seam sizes include 1” (25mm), 1.5” (40mm), and 2” (50mm).

The Thick Material Spec Welder is ideal for in-house fabrication of heavier materials (24 oz -100 oz) with increased production rates. The exclusive guide system with pre-heat roller system greatly increases welding speeds while maintaining a quality weld. Our guide system has increased visibility and is fully adjustable. Only available in 220 volt. Standard wedge and overlap guides available for this unit.
